E-Krete
is a Portland cement based Polymer Composite Micro-Overlay (PCMO) that
preserves road surfaces in a far superior manner than other alternatives.
Some of E-Krete’s characteristics that make it stand out as the superior
preservation solution are:

Asphalt's surface integrity is its one critical weakness. Jack Wilson (PolyCon Manufacturing) developed E-Krete with the realization that there is a need for a durable overlay that will adhere to asphalt and provide a protective layer creating surface integrity. E-Krete is an environmentally green, concrete-based polymer overlay that not only bonds to asphalt, but will also adhere to concrete and metal.
After twelve years of testing and experience with this polymer composite micro-overlay (PCMO) on surfaces such as interstates, secondary roads, and parking lots, the producer (PolyCon Manufacturing) is confident to provide a three year warranty which covers peeling and delamination from the surface to which it is applied. E-Krete can be applied to meet any friction coefficient required. Also, it comes in many colors including a solar reflective gray that reduces surface temperature by 12 degrees Fahrenheit helping to mitigate urban heat islands.
Also after twelve years of use and tests on roads, regional and military airports, offshore helidecks and parking lots, E-Krete stands alone as the only cementitious pavement preservation material approved by the FAA, EPA, Army Corp of Engineers, and is currently in the approval process in several state DOTs including Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida. Rising petroleum prices affecting asphalt prices positions E-Krete as being less expensive than a 1.5” asphalt overlay; it is no wonder that E-Krete is considered to be a product whose time has come.
